Decided I needed a break from the stress I've had, so a friend and I traveled to Belgium. The bed and breakfast we stayed at was very colorful.
We went into the town if Brugge our first night there. It was only a 2+ mile walk one way...
Made it to a restraunt finally and it looked nice. We chose the kids table.
Belgium is known for waffles and beer.
We walked another couple miles around the city that night.
Then walked the 2+ miles back to our room.
Woke up 4 hours later and drove to Ostende to see the Belgian beach!!
Jellyfish!
It was cold so this was as much swimming as we did.
Giant orange chunks of metal on the boardwalk? Ok...
History...
Seahorse restaurant!
Mmmm waffles!
"Want to take a picture with a vacuum and make a memory?" Uhm, yes... How did you know I drove all the way to Ostende Belgium to take a picture with a vacuum on the beach...
More history
We will enjoy the beach...
After walking about 4 miles on the beach we got back to Brugge and decided to catch the bus. But the bus didn't stop for us so we walked a mile to another bus station. We got there as the bus closed the door in our faces and drove off. This was wen we finally got on a bus.
Chocolate stores everywhere!
Chocolate!!!!
Sea creature benches
Walked at least 3 miles that day through the city looking at everything and getting chocolate. Then woke up and drove to Brussels where we found how to travel through all of Europe in a day.
Flanders field
Antwerp
Brugge!
London i think
Leaning tower
Berlin Wall
Trier! I've been here
Atonium
And the city of Brussels. Scary stressful driving...
Walked about 4 miles in circles through the city lost until we found the grand place. Then had to find our way back but it was worth it.
Flower carpet in the center of the Grand Place.
So after walking at least 5 to 6 miles a day in flip flops and regular shoes, my feet are toast. Toes so swollen I can't bend them and blisters so big I want to pop them. But it was a great trip! Met some awesome people, found out I love Flemish food and got this chocolate!
