So, if anyone ever wondered what my 'huge' dorm room looks like, heres some pictures. The door to the left leads to my bathroom, and the one on the right leads to the kitchen. The bathroom and kitchen I would share with a suitemate except I don't have one right now so they're only mine for the time being... It's kind of nice to have a kitchen so I can cook and not have to eat chow hall food every day. (Yes I know I should since they're paying me to eat there, but after so many days of eating the food I can't do it anymore.)

This is about the messiest my room ever gets. The orange chair you can barely see under the coats is my coat chair. It makes it easy to find the coats, uniform or civilian when I need them (especially when the firealarm goes off in the middle of the night and its negative degrees outside and snowing). The dressers are usually cluttered with the things that I have to carry in my BDU pockets at work but I don't think I remembered to clean out my pockets... oops...

My kitchen usually has a few cups around the sink but I did dishes today and the cups are still sitting on my dresser next to my bed. The extremely tall cabinet on the left is supposed to pass as my table... I don't know about that. I always wanted a 'bar' so I could have the really tall stools but when its facing into a wall... well... not so much. I have a full sized referigerator but you can't see it in this picture. I'm standing right in front of it.

My bathroom sink and the door to my closet. I didn't think anyone would really be interested in seeing inside my tiny bathroom so theres not a picture on here. Yes, those are pictures on the sink. I put pictures everywhere in my room to help me from getting so home-sick.

For everyone who wants to see more pictures of me, here you go. Some random pictures of me so you can look at them and talk about how much I have or haven't changed... I personally don't notice changes since I see myself every day. Yes, my hair is really static-y up here. I don't know if it's because the air is dryer here or what but the static follows me daily...

My crazy hair... I keep getting in trouble for my hair. Its in the inbetween stages where its too long to be worn down in uniform and too short to pull up without most of it falling back out... I don't know, so I keep trying to pull it up and use so many bobby pins that I think my scalp is going to fall off. And don't forget the hairspray! Tons of hairspray to make it hard like my second helmet...

I draw pictures when I get stressed out. I thought I would share some of them with everyone. I like this one. It reminds me of the verse in the Bible where you need to take the plank out of your own eye before trying remove the speck from the other persons eye. Sometimes its so easy to forget your own faults and you see yourself as being perfect but reality will always come back to show itself to you. This is probably one of my favorite pictures I've drew.

It snowed... again... It's been snowing for about the last 4 days in a row... O, and don't forget the highs in the single digits. Gotta love it... I think... At work everyone says they enjoy working with me because I'll be the person that it snows 6 inches and I put on my gortex (water proof coat and pants) and go outside and make snow angels and snow men. I start mini snowball fights with the people I work with just to add excitement to what might otherwise be a boring shift. (They are mini only becuase I am usually posted with guys and they all gang up on me and I end up with ice and rocks being thrown at me.) Its usually fun, until I try to run away from them, hit the ice and fall, and then they catch me and bomb me with the snow.... We discovered that at any temperature below around 15 degrees when you throw the boiling cup of water into the air it will turn into steam. It still amazes me and when it was 2 degrees this last tour I had to run outside and try it. It kept me amused for almost an hour.

Here's a good one... Listening to my zune and taking pictures. HAHA! I love it. I can't live without my music. I sat in a truck for 13 hours a couple weeks ago at work, and by the end of the 13 hours with no music, (the radio was broken) I thought I was going insane!

Look how much my hair has grown! I want it longer again....

This one I drew at work and every time my Sergeant would come by he would make fun of me for drawing the same design over and over... I personally like it...

I drew this one for a t-shirt for flight, but my Lt said we couldn't used it since the weapon is pointing at someone... So instead I just get to look at it and say it was one of the drawings that de-stressed me. In case you couldn't tell, my job is stressful, but in reality, what job isn't. I guess it could be worse. At least I can sit and draw or watch TV. And of course I love the gym built onto the main room so after work I can go and run the day away.

I did this one last week. I was stressed about a rumor going around flight and I sat down at the table and drew this in about 4 hours. A girl I was posted with said she wants it to frame and put in her dorm room. I think it turned out better on paper than it did in my mind for once... That's unusual.... I usually see them different in my head then when I try to put them on paper they don't turn out quite right.

My elephant... it took me about 2 minutes to sketch him out. Maybe someday I'll put him in a cartoon. Or maybe I'll just draw a bunch of single little animals and make a coloring book. Who knows.

Me in my running clothes. The pants are so comfortable. I love them! And as I found out this last week running relieves a lot of stress too. The half mile sprints are what get it all out I guess... I couldn't figure out how to turn the picture or I would have turned it...

The cartoon man and the mushroom houses. I carved a little man like the blue guy in the picture one day when I was bored and someone gave me their knife. So the other day when I wasn't doing anything, I drew the blue man and gave him a mushroom house. I was really bored and decided to add color to this one. I still color with my crayons and colored pencils. Theres nothing wrong with it... I don't think... I had a Captain laughing at me when he saw me coloring with crayons at work one day but I think he was more amazed that someone would actually bring crayons to work than he was that I was coloring with them. I'm also the person that brings and builds with legos at work. My leadership doesn't mind mostly because it keeps me awake.
