August Update

This is my hero... the HMMWV. I feel like I could take on the entire world when I am inside but they are not as cool as they sound. They are all metal and uncomfortable on the inside... go figure. I can't ride in one without getting a new bruise. O well. I guess it goes along with the job. Work is going pretty good. Im in my CDCs now so I actually have to try to retain the knowledge in there. No fun since I never get to use half of the information for my part of the security career field. But at least it isn't that hard of information to learn. Not that much has happened in the last few months except Ive been busy with working and studying and trying to make a good impression on the leadership. I don't want the people I work with to think I'm lazy or anything. This picture was actually taken at the air show that the Canadian Snowbirds came down and flew their planes in an air show demonstration. There were other activities going on as well. In the picture Security Forces are demonstration how we make a high priority traffic stop but not even I understand why they are in the HMMWV. O well. I got badly sunburned at the air show and couldn't even put on my boots to go to work so the doctor put me on bed rest so I could heal. I guess that was best as I am better now and continue to work. But my advice... when going into the sun, wear sunscreen(and bug repellent sometimes) to prevent a lot of pain. :)
